Spring in the park


Another photo guideline is that you should photograph flowers in overcast light or shade, but I just took this photo on the spur of the moment as I was passing through the park. I don't really like the contrast of the shadows and sunlight, but I want to get back to posting photos regularly here so I'm going to go ahead and upload the darn photo anyway!

Sometimes you just have to throw 'the rules' to the wind! I am just darned glad to see flowers! We'd waited long enough. These are gorgeous.

You may not like the lighting effect but I love the shadow detail cast by the stamens in the open flower! This photo definitely has an unconventional beauty and I love it!
