but is necessary it to give to eat with the pigeons ?

The pigeons would probably be fine without being fed, but pigeons are smart and they learn to recognize the people who feed them so it can be very rewarding to feed pigeons, so I hear. :)
Years ago my dad raised pigeons and he said the same thing - they are very smart and entertaining "pets". Nice shot!
