An old weathered door

I took this a while ago and can't remember where it was. I think that face on the door looks like William Shakespeare, or is it just me?

One of my favorite courtyards

I love this courtyard and try to imagine how it might have looked when it was first made. It looks like maybe there is one 'ring' that was meant to be a small pool. (???)

Old house with graffiti

This is from late November. Usually I might say it's a shame to have graffiti on such a charming old structure,
but in this case I think it works.

Did you know: the word graffiti came from the Italian word "graffiato," which means "scratched." Obviously
back when the word was coined there were no spraycans around.

old/new cliche

To see some incredible city photography (and post-processing) you've got to check out Poland's Andrzej Furs.

NSFW?

I pass by this apartment building a lot but don't think I've ever noticed this bas relief until today (it's on one of the upper floors). Do you think this image is NSFW (not safe for work)? :-)

A picture and a map

This is kind of useless since there aren't any street names or anything, but just for kicks here's where this picture was taken shown on Google maps (it's near the main train station):

There's something about this doorway I just love.

Urban decay

Teenagers hanging out after school in Tasmajdan Stadium, a venue which has seen better days.
You can see an arial view of it (with notes) here at Wikimapia.

Apartment Buildings

I have two pictures today of apartment buildings
This is a residential building
It's one of a group of three, here you can see all three from a distance:

Of course communist-era architecture.
Edited 31st Jan 2008: To read something about these buildings, check out this blog: Nothing Against Serbia

On a street near Kalemegdan

On the advice given atA Walk Through Durham Township I've started working with my pictures in 16-bit versus 8-bit files and I think it's made a nice difference with their color and depth. If you take your pictures in RAW and you keep them in 8-bit from start to finish, you should try 16-bit and see if you like the difference.
