Chess Game in Fog - Skywatch Friday

It's foggy, it's cold, it's dark, but it doesn't stop these two from playing chess.
This picture was taken January 14th, but I thought it fit for today's Skywatch Friday because today was similarly foggy. BUT right now we don't have any snow on the ground like in this photo.

And just for fun here's another version of this pic with Alien Skin's Snap Art plugin for Photoshop. This plugin is really fun to play with. You can download a free trial here: http://www.alienskin.com/snapart/

Belgrade! I don't think I've ran across a blog yet from Ireland - This is a fantastic photo! It must be really cold, because they're not even sitting down! Nicely captured!

LOVE your photograph! The colors are awesome.

Nothing stops a good chess game! Your picture is so blue it almost looks like you changed your white balance to incandescent and forgot to change it back. That happened to me one day last week:)

These two are very pretty. The second one looks like an impressionist painting.

Clueless in Boston,
I have no problem with creative use of white balance, but I just got to declare that this photo actually depicts reality, it was very, very blue when I took this photo! In fact I brightened the photo a little in photoshop so it was actually even more deep blue than what the photo shows, honest!

The cool blues are so subtle and gorgeous. I am enjoying your photography a lot.

excellent! the plugin makes it look impressionist but i still like the original better.

Interesting photo of devoted chess players. The second version looks exactly like an oil painting. Cool!

This is one of the best photos I've seen for this week. Standing "O".

Great capture of a interesting scene and the Alien Skin oil painting is such fun. I'm going to have a play with that. Oh, didn't know you'd moved ;)

It may be fun to play around, I however love the original.

Beautiful shot, and I love the 2nd version. I gave it a stumble on SU, I'm sure other people would love to see it.

Both images offer special magic! Both have a delightful eerie blue atmosphere! But I think I still prefer the original phot0 for its mystical depth! I am more aware of surface textures in the second.
