Not so little anymore

I posted a picture of this cat way back on January 22nd, with the comment "This is my new little friend who hangs out behind my building."
Well, she's not so little anymore, at least not around the middle! The poor thing is heavily 'with kitten.' Residents of the building provide food for her but it remains to be seen what will become of the little ones. :-/

Monthly Theme Day - Water

Running for the bus in a summer downpour

March wasn't a great month for my little photo blog, and April isn't starting off much better. Not only did I forget to sign up for this month's theme, but I'm posting a picture from last summer (so much for "taken today or yesterday"), that wasn't taken by me, and wasn't taken in Belgrade, either! It's in the relatively nearby town of Novi Sad ( by occasional guest contributor Mr. B). :-)

Those reflectors really work

Rather than not upload any picture for today, here's one from January :-(

Zemun, for a change

I took this picture today in Zemun
It was a great day for taking a long walk
I posted a picture from yesterday too.

Kosutnjak

Today I went to Kosutnjak which is a nice wooded area of Belgrade where you can see actual joggers!
But I didn't manage to take any particularly interesting pics, really.
Try, try again.

Orange peel (am I clever or what?!)

A picture and a map

This is kind of useless since there aren't any street names or anything, but just for kicks here's where this picture was taken shown on Google maps (it's near the main train station):

Hello

I was taking some pics of the river today
and these guys were yelling, "Take our picture, take our picture!" and so here it is. :)

And now for something completely different

A doorway in Dorcol

There's something about this doorway I just love.

Isn't that cute?

I tried to get a tilt-shift lens effect here. I think it's neat, but I don't know how effective it is on this pic in particular...

another dog pic

Sve je dobro što se dobro svrši.or, All's well that ends well

Last week the weather was better so we were stylin' and profilin' at the park. Wow, look at that balloon flying over the river, past Pobednik,, now it's going towards Branko's bridge, it's getting awfully low, OH MY GOD it's going to crash:

Nah, it regained altitude and went on it's merry way.

Home sweet home

Happy Valentine's Day

So many daily-city-bloggers are posting with a Valentine's theme today, so I looked through my pictures to try to find something with a heart and found this from last spring.

This picture was taken by B, who is much better at taking pictures of people than I am.

Just a nice silvery building and a kiosk (the red thing). Kiosks are little shops where you can buy cigarettes, candy, various kinds of alcohol, bus tickets, recharge your mobile phone, yada yada yada.

A Sort of Homecoming

Plenty of excitement in town today because there was a homecoming celebration in the town center for our tennis champ Djokovic. Unfortunately, this was the best picture I got, when he was leaving after the event.
Check out this youtube video from today: Nole sings with Belgrade. :)
