In case you are not aware - you can alter the time-stamp on your blogger post -- the default time and date is when you create the post and it stays with that date/time even if you post it later but you go to "Post Options" when editing you can alter it so that it shows the date and time you want it to appear.
If you can't figure it out - ask on the portal forum.

Thanks for offering the tip, I do know how to change the timestamp...but now that you mention it, I was thinking I might do away with the "time" of the post altogether though and just show the date.
It is your call of course but in blogger the time stamp doubles as a link to the permalink for the post -- permalinks are very useful to have as, apart from anything else, they enable blogs to refer/link to each other when they are perhaps posting on a similar topic.
